The Process of purchasing a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR) is a lengthy one. Since the barrel is less than 16″ it is classified as a title 2 weapon that requires an NFA Tax Stamp.

1. FosTecH will manufacture the SBR and then transfer it to your Class 3 Dealer (7-14 days) 
2. You will then go to your Class 3 Dealer and fill out the Form 4 Paperwork and pay your $200.00 tax stamp. Your Class 3 Dealer will hold your FosTecH SBR until you are approved by the NFA for the tax stamp. (1-8 Months)

After your tax stamp is approved you will be able to pick up your FosTecH SBR from your Class 3 Dealer.

This Description is simply an overview. Please see the NFA Handbook for exact details. The description of your process is simply to provide guidance in knowing that it will take several months before you are able to own your FosTecH SBR. 

Federal law requires all Class 3 firearms to be shipped to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Special Tax Stamp (SOT).

HOW TO PURCHASE:

It’s quite simple— add the item and quantity to your cart, then follow the instructions to complete your order.

Under shipping details, you can easily select the firearms dealer where you want your order shipped. Complete the payment section and finally click “Place Order.” You’re all set!

If we have any questions or concerns, we’ll reach out to you via email – of course, make sure you give us the correct email. It’s always a good idea to check your junk or spam folder just in case our correspondence lands there.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Lead Times: All lead times are estimated and subject to change. At present time, lead times are realistic and accurate. If anything changes, we will do our best to keep the website updated.
• Estimated Shipping: We are happy to report a significantly higher order volume at this time. Please note that the current processing lead time for orders is approximately 21–30 business days. This timeframe applies until you receive a tracking number and/or the tracking number begins showing movement within the shipping carrier’s system.
• Shipping Restrictions: We’ll use the shipping address information you provide on the order to verify there are no restrictions on shipping to that address—our system checks compliance with all federal, state, county, and local firearms laws.
  If the provided shipping address is restricted: In most cases, the order will be unable to be completed and payment will not be processed (i.e., the order does not “pass go”).
  If your order reaches processing at FosTecH and the provided shipping address proves to be restricted, such order instances do qualify for a refund. We will contact you via the email provided on the order—so please make sure it is correct!
  Please keep in mind that these restrictions are out of our control and could make it impossible for FosTecH to complete the shipment.

• Firearm – NFA Transfers: If a transfer cannot be completed (ie: approval is denied), the customer may request a refund for the entire order, provided the product is brand new, unused, and returned in its original condition.

To begin the return process, the customer must email sales@fostech.us with their order number and a general explanation of the issue that occurred with the failed transfer.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. FosTecH is not responsible for any shipping charges associated with the return or original shipment.

Once the order is received back at FosTecH, please allow 5–6 business days for our internal inbound processing. During this time, our team will inspect and verify the returned order before processing the refund.

Approved refunds will be issued less a 20% restocking and fee(s) based on the total order amount.

The following charges are not included in the approved refund:

• FosTecH 20% restocking/processing fee
•  Original Shipping fee
• Credova fee (if applicable to the order)

Please note that incomplete or denied transfers are outside of FosTecH’s control. As a result, FosTecH is not responsible for transfer-related issues that prevent completion of the transaction.
